Michael Cartwright, Musician and Trumpet Player

A skilled trumpet player, Cartwright breathes life into his instrument – bringing it from a whispering, pensive and haunting cry to a powerful and aggressive rhythmic charge. Michael’s voice is as alluring as his playing is unique. Cartwright’s voice transitions from a high-energy and soulful serenade to a smooth and sultry lullaby, with a vocal texture reminiscent of soul music’s legendary singers – while maintaining contemporary relevance.

Michael Cartwright is a professional musician and entertainer. A trumpet player & vocalist; He is the music director for the Los Angeles based event band Project M. After two decades of professional musician life in the Los Angeles area, Cartwright relocated to North Dakota where he became the co-host of “Studio 701” a lifestyle program on KXMB – CBS and gave his first Tedx talk called “Art of The Frontman”. He is a lover of the outdoors, a recreational triathlete, yogi, and holds a Bachelor’s degree from the Thornton School of Music at The University of Southern California.
